SAINT PATRICK'S HIGH Before 1954

Saint Patrick's High School history pre-dates the Quinpool Road school.  Aside from classes held in the Church basement, the first Saint Patrick's school opened on Lockman Street in 1872.

This page will focus on the history of Saint Patrick's schools prior to the opening of the high school on Quinpool in December 1954.

Coolen V.P, Lloyd Robertson, Thomas Baker Back - Reg Shortall, Jermiah Larkin, John Gorman, George Theriault, Clifford Banks, George Blackman, Peter Wirt, Noel Fellows, Max Pottie, Percy McGrath, Ken Davison  (For some reason the front row is not listed - but you should be able to derive from the picture below)

Note: Frederick W. Coolen, who is seated in the middle row and at the time Vice Principal, would go on to become the first Principal of the new St. Patrick's High School on Quinpool Road
